Certificate of citizenship?

Hey fellow bloggers....so its been 40 days since we got home and still hasnt arrived yet. How long did yours take to arrive? if it doesnt come next week, do you know who I can reach out to? Its one of the last remaining to dos from the paperwork, so anxious to get it done!

I would give it a couple more weeks...

I had worried about Natalia's for a few weeks, but then it showed up. I think I read somewhere in our paperwork that they would try to process within 45 days.

If it takes too long, contact the State Department office that handled your fingerprints. . .they are the ones who should know.

Randy ours took less Ghana month but I would think the holidays and delayed mail because holidays may play a role in the timing. Also the Hartford office would be the one to contact.

takes a while. If you have already done her passport, I would not worry about the certificate. I twill come.

It took about six weeks in 2008. As soon as you can, start on the Social Security paperwork. It took the government 3 months to get us social security numbers. They would not accept the English translations hat accompanied our paperwork since only the Russian versions were notarized. They sent our documents to DC for translation. Good luck!

So we have been lucky...we have her SS# already (was really quick when we did it in person - took maybe two weeks), and just got her certificate of foreign birth. still havent received the cert of citizenship yet, but hopefully will soon!
